DAY ONE
FANI`S ISLAND

20 kms beyond Mtubatuba on the N2 turn right onto the road signposted Charters Creek. At Nyalazi turn right and head for Fani`s Island.
Once you are settled into your comfortable rest hut, get out the fishing gear as grunter, kob, perch and shad are regularly caught in this part of the lake. A lunch time dip in the pool will cool you off in the heat of the day.

DAY TWO
MANTUMA CAMP
MKHUZE GAME RESERVE

Pack early and head north on the N2. Turn off at Mkuze Village which will allow you to stock up on essentials then head into the reserve. Mkhuze is a beautiful reserve with a spectular variety of animals, birds and habitats. Take up your accommodation in your comfortable safari tent and after a dip in the pool head out to KwaBube Hide, world famous for the magnificent photographs and film sequences made here over the years. When things get quiet as it cools down in the late afternoon, select a loop road and make your way back to the safari tented camp, game viewing on your way.

DAY THREE
NTSHONDWECAMP
ITHALA GAME RESERVE

An early rise and after breakfast head back to the N2 and turn north. Ten kilometres after Mkuze Village turn left onto the Rooirand road to Magudu. This is thick pristine thornveld with many private game ranches and some spectular views. Enter Ithala via Louwsburg on the top of the Ngotshe Mountains and make your way to Ntshondwe Camp. The camp is in a bush filled basin on the Ngotshe cliffs with wonderful views and walks. Award winning, the camp is full of birds and animals and it’s a delight to sit on your verandah and take in the sights and sounds of its local inhabitants.A late afternoon drive around the Ngubu loop will provide great game viewing with many pretty spots where you can stop and savour the view.

DAY FOUR
JOHANNESBURG

A leisurely breakfast and on your way by 10h00 vowing to return and spend more time in these beautiful areas.
