Tour 4 is the closest tour of the Midlands Meander to Johannesburg. It stretches from Hidcote in north down to Nottingham Road, along the R103. This route offers travellers an ideal stopover en route to and from the coast, as well as direct access to the KwaZulu-Natal Battlefields.40km of tar road will give you access to a variety of Midlands Meander sites that cover the spectrum of arts, crafts and hospitality. Half a day will enable you to cover this tour, allowing some time to stop and enjoy the experience.
Activities include trout-fishing, hiking, horse-riding or a chance to just relax. High quality paper, linen, dried flowers and ethnic weaving are just a few of the crafts to be seen. And there is something for every palate from a simple country meal to cordon bleu cookery - the choice is yours.
