Betwixt and between (Cape Town and the Garden Route) 
Day 1:
Depart from Cape Town on the N2 over Sir Lowry's Pass. Visit one of the farm stalls situated along the N2. Be sure to visit the Apple Museum off the N2 in Grabouw. Return to the N2. Included in this fertile Elgin valley area, are wine farms worth visiting. Proceed over the scenic Houwhoek Pass to Caledon, capital of the Overberg. Overnight in Caledon. 

Day 2:
Take the morning to visit the beautiful Caledon Wild Flower Garden and Nature Reserve. Continue on the N2 to Riviersonderend. Be sure to look out for the blue cranes, South Africa's National bird, often seen in the fields lining the road.

Delight in the town of Riviersonderend surrounded by its beautiful mountain and river scenery. Overnight in Riviersonderend.

Day 3:
Continue on the N2 to Swellendam. In Swellendam you can visit the Drostdy Museum Complex, and spend some time in the Bontebok National Park. Visit the unique Wildebraam Liqueur Farm for tastings and berry picking in season. The Sulina Fairy Sanctuary promises to be an experience you will not forget. Overnight in Swellendam.

Continue the next morning to the Garden Route.
