CAROLINA 
South-east of Middelburg, at the junction of the R33 and the R36, this town was named after the wife of farmer Kort Kerneels Coetzee who donated a part of his farm for a township on condition that it be named after his wife. It is part of the Rainbow Route and its historic Anglican church has been restored for use as a restaurant.
