DELAREYVILLE 
Founded in 1914 and named after General de la Rey, this town produces maize, groundnuts and sunflowers. The Dutch Reformed Church in Maun Street is a national monument and was designed by Gerhard Moerdyk. The Earth Satellite Station was erected in 1998 to improve telecommunications in southern Africa. There are facilities for golf, tennis, bowls, rugby, squash, cricket and swimming. 

Barberspan, with its prolific birdlife, fishing and boating is 15km away. It covers 2 000 ha and is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere. The Henk Joubert Game Reserve is home to numerous anetelope species.
