SCHWEIZER-RENEKE 
On the N14 en route from Vryburg to Bloemhof, this town bears the name of two soldiers, Captain CA Schweizer and Field Cornet GCN Reyneke, who died in a battle against the Korannas in 1885. 

There is San rock art nearby, thought to be over 20 000 years old, as well as relics from the Anglo-Boer War and the remnants of the Koranna ''kraals \ at Massoukop. 

Other monuments include the Voortrekker Monument, a memorial library for victims of World War II and the Republic Monument.Now a thriving maize-farming area, many leisure activities are provided by the Wentzel Dam.
